The already delayed and much awaited Notification for SSC CHSL Exam was announced on 7th October, 2016. The online registration, was expected to start from 8th Oct, 2016, but due to some website error, the Registration, was started only on 13th Oct, 2016 and due to this delay, SSC had revised the Last Date to 11th November, 2016.

In 2016, SSC had announced over 5000+ posts for CHSL Recruitment Exam. Moreover, a new post Court Clerks have been included in the CHSL Exam 2016. Earlier in 2015, SSC had introduced the post of Postal / Sorting Assistants in Department of posts and these posts have been retained in 2016 too. It looks that Department of Posts, maye hire staff through SSC only and decided to do away with the Recruitment on its own.

It is worth mentioning here that CHSL is one of the most sough after and popular exams in India, as the basic qualification is only 10+2 (12th ) and who does not want a high paying Central Government Jobs just after passing 10+2. Prior to 2014, the Selection criteria for this exam comprises of only Written test and Skill / Typing Test , but from 2015, Descriptive Paper has been introduced for those who qualify the Written test (Objective test).

And in 2016, Exam Pattern went major change, with the introduction of Online Written exam and changes in Pattern and Exam duration also.

SSC CGL 2016 Tier-1 Results expected on 7th October

SSC CGL 2016 Tier-1 Results is expected to be announced on 2nd week of October. Check Most Expected Dates

This is a Big News for all those who have appeared in the SSC CGL Exam 2016 in the month of August /September, 2016. Approximately 14 lakh candidates have appeared in the exam as against 38 Lakh registered candidates, that makes the CGL 2016 Attendance at only 36% (Lowest Ever). The reason for such a lower attendance is attributed to Computer based online exam. 

SSC had conducted the CGL Tier-1 Online exams from 27th August to 11th September, while the exam for Srinagar center was held on 25th September, 2016. The answer keys were released in the 3rd week of September and applicants were allowed to make representation and challenge the answer keys upto 30th September, 2016. 

Now, as per some reliable sources, it is expected that SSC CGL Result may be announced on 7th October, 2016. Though this is not confirmed by SSC and is being circulated all over the Internet and reported by popular websites on SSC CGL Exam Like Examwatch etc.but, still, there is No confirmation from SSC, on this result date. 

But, still there are doubts, that CGL Results might get announced on 7th Oct, 2016, as the Commission had already finalized Oct 8 as the Date of announcement of SSC CHSL Notification. Earlier the CHSL Notification, was scheduled to be announced on 2nd July, but to make a few adjustment, the Notification was postponed to October. Those who Qualify the CGL Tier-1 Exam, now have to appear in the Tier-2 Exam, that is scheduled in the month of November, 2016. It is worth mentioning here that Results might announced silently without informing any one, as SSC is full of surprises
