Secondary Level (CHSL) Notification 2013 is Out, thereby ending a long wait of candidates seeking Government Jobs in India, after (10+2).SSC CHSL exam is conducted every year by commission to select people for Group 'C' posts in various Government Departments/Ministries.
Remember, these posts are under Central Govt of India, and hence, It is Central Govt Job. So , if you are a central Govt. Job Seeker, then SSC CHSL Exam 2013 is for you. However, before you proceed to apply for SSC CHSL Exam, make sure that you full fill the Eligibility Criteria, as specified in this post.
In this post, we are going to share the Complete Details of SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam, 2013. However, applicants are advised in their own interest to check the Details from the Official Advt. given at the end of this post.
SSC CHSL Notification 2013
Whenever, SSC advertised the Notification for any Recruitment OR Exam, it is published both Online as well as Offline. The Online Version of Advt, is uploaded on the Official Website of SSC, while the Offline version is published in the Employment Newspaper
The Current SSC CHSL Notification is already uploaded on the SSC Official Website and you can download it in (*.pdf) format. Apart from this, the Detailed CHSL Notification, will be published in the Employment Newspaper Dated: 20th July, 2013.
It is worth mentioning here, that SSC CHSL Notification gets delayed by 2 weeks. As per the SSC Exam Timetable, the Notification was expected to get published on 6th July, but now it is being published on 20th July, 2013.
What is SSC CHSL Exam 2013 ?
SSC CHSL Exam is an All India Open Competitive Exam, held once an year, in which lakhs of candidates apply & appear and Only a few Hundred's and Thousand's are selected.
This Exam is done for Group C Posts (ie Lower Division Clerk and Data Entry Operators) in various Govt Departments and Ministries.
It is worth mentioning here that preference for Govt Jobs in various Departments will be obtained from candidates, only after they pass the Skill test.
Who is Eligible to appear in SSC CHSL Exam 2013 ?
If getting a Central Govt Job is your Dream and you are only 12th Pass, then this is the only exam, that can turn your Dream into reality, but make sure, you satisfy the below mentioned conditions
- Nationality: You must be an Indian.
- Age Limit: You must have attained 18 years of Age and must not be over 27 years of Age (ie you are born not earlier than 02.08.1986 and not later than 01.08.1995)
- Educational Qualifications: Minimum Qualification to appear in this exam is only 12th Pass. Students who are studying in 12th Class cannot apply for this exam.
Dates are Important
It is highly advisable, that you must take note of the Important Dates of SSC CHSL Exam 2013, so that you save yourself from last minute trouble.
- Date of Notification : 20th July, 2013
- Closing Date of Application: 16th Aug, 2013
- Date of Written Exam: 10th/17th Nov, 2013
Scheme and Syllabus of SSC CHSL Exam-2013
The Selection Process comprises of Written test and then followed by Skill Test. The Written test is tentatively scheduled to be held on 10th/17th Nov, 2013.
Passed students in the Written test, will be called for the Skill test and thereafter preferences will be obtained from them.

How to Apply ?
Applicants willing to apply and appear for SSC Combined Higher Secondary level (CHSL) Exam, 2013, must apply before the closing Date ie 19th July, 2013.
Application Fees: Applicants need to pay only Rs 100/- as application cum examination fees. However, Female Candidates and candidates belonging to reserved categories Like SC/ST/Physically Challenged and Ex-Serviceman are exempted from paying any fees.
Application fee for offline application, can be paid either through CRF Stamps (For Offline Application) and through SBI Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card for Online Application
Application Process: Both Online as well as Offline application is accepted for SSC CHSL Exam, 2013.
Offline Mode: Applicants applying through offline mode, must submit their application in the prescribed Application format, attach the CRF Stamps and sent the Envelope containing the Application form, to the concerned SSC Regional Office
Online Mode: For Online application, applicants must log on to (www.ssconline.nic.in) and submit the Online application form.
