JEE Main 2013 : Notification and Exam Date

CBSE had issued the Notification for the Joint Entrance Exam JEE Main 2013 for admission to Engineering/Architecture courses in the 15 IITs, 30 NIT's, 5 IIIT's, DTU, Delhi etc. JEE-2013 is a single entrance Exam for getting Admissions in the IITs, NIT's, IIIT's, DTU and CFC etc. and this exam is a direct replacement for AIEEE and IIT-JEE Exams. Earlier, there were reports in media about ISEET-2013, but after resentment shown by some IIT's the Govt had to step back and approved the JEE-2013 as a single Entrance Exam.

Interested students who are desirous of getting admission in the India's Top Engineering Colleges (Like IITs, NITs and IIIT's) in 2013 will now have to appear in the JEE-2013 and subsequently prepare for the same. In this article, we will discuss in detail about the JEE-2013 Notification and Exam Dates. Students are advised to go through the information below and follow the guidelines.

Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) 2013 Notification

JEE-2013 Main Notification is issued by CBSE Delhi on 7th September, 2012, in accordance with the Decisions of the JEE Apex board. In the Notification, there is some light thrown on the Pattern of JEE-2013.Here are some of key-points pointed in the JEE-2013 Notification

• JEE-2013 will have two Papers ie JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced)
• JEE Main Exam will be held in both online as well as Offline mode and has the same pattern and subjects as of AIEEE Paper i.e Paper-I for B.E/ B Tech Courses and Paper-II for B Arch/B Planning Courses.
• JEE Advanced Exam is only for 1.5 lakh top ranker's in the JEE Main exam
• The Merit lists for admission to NITs, IIITs, DTU, Delhi and other CFTIs is prepared by taking into account by providing 40 % weight-age to 12th Class Marks and 60 % weightage to JEE Main Exam Marks.
• For IIT's, Only the top 1.5 lakh candidates in the JEE Main exam will be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced exam

JEE 2013 Exam Date

The Exact Exam Dates for JEE-2013 will be notified in the Detailed Information Bulletin, that will released in October-2012, As for now, we can only provide the Information about the JEE Main Offline Exam Date 2013.

As per, the Press Release issued by CBSE, the JEE Main Exam (Offline) will be held on 7th April, 2013 and JEE Main Online Exam is likely to be held there after in April, 2013
