Since the Post Office Recruitment is being conducted after a very long time, so it is getting attention from all those Unemployed Job-Seekers who are looking for Government Jobs in India.In this article we will discuss in detail the Syllabus and Exam Pattern for India Post Office Exam 2012 for Postal and Sorting Assistants.Applicants are advised to go through the Syllabus & Paper Pattern and accordingly prepare for the exam.

India Post Office Exam Pattern 2012

The Exam pattern for India Post Office Exam 2012 shall consist of a Written Test and Computer/Typing test.

Written Test: The Written test for Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistants shall consists of an Aptitude test that is Objective in nature.The duration of the Written Exam is 2 hours and carry a weight age of 100 marks.The Aptitude test comprises of  sections such as. General Knowledge, Mathematics, English Language, Reasoning and Analytical Ability.

Computer/ Typing Test: The shortlisted candidates in the Written test will be called for Computer/ Typing test in the ratio of (1:5). The typing test is of 30 minutes and candidates will be asked to type a passage of 450 words in Eglish Or 375 words in Hindi in 30 minutes with typing Speed of 25/30 words per minute respectively or Data entry of some figures and letters each carrying equal marks on Computers.

The Final Selection is done of the basis of the Candidates performance in the Aptitude Test and the Computer/Typing test.

Syllabus of the Written Test

The Written test is divided of 4 Parts viz Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D and is of 2 hours.Here is the detailed description of these 4 parts

Part-A :The Part A contains 25 Questions on General Knowledge (25 Marks)

Part-B: 25 Questions carrying 25 marks are asked on Mathematics of Matriculation standard.

Part-C: In Part-C, 25 Questions are asked on English covering Grammar (25 marks)

Part-D : In this section 25 Questions are asked on Reasoning and Analytical Ability carrying 25 Marks.
